Laminated glass is relatively new, as an architectural product.

Application for laminated glass include safety, security, storm, accoustic, UV/solar, color and structural.

Laminated glass resists pentetration by clinging to the tough plastic interlayer, helping the glass to remain in the framing system. This can help prevent injuries caused by dangerous flying shards of glass

Reduces noise. The plastic interlayer in laminated glass acts as a fliter that blocks out more noise than ordinary window glass- resulting in a quiter and more comfortable interior enviroment.

Provides protection from damaging UV rays. Ultraviolet rays from the sun will cause a  fabric  to fade and degrade, leather to age and vinyl to crack. Tests prove UV interlayes block out 99% of most damaging ultraviolet rays.
